MOVED OUT

June 2nd, 2008

I packed everything and moved out. The only thing I left behind was my mobile case, but I didn’t really need that for anything. Most of the time, I simply kept my mobile phone in my pocket. But I needed to move out. I hated the neighborhood I was living in. Its only plus was really that it was close to a train station and I could get public transportation any time out of the neighborhood. Other than that, there was never anything to actually do there. If I wanted to take a walk, I had nowhere to go. If I wanted to go to a bookstore, I had to drive out to the next neighborhood or into the suburbs. If I wanted to go have a drink at a decent bar or club, I’d have to drive into deeper into the city. When I was attending school, I had to take a half hour to 40-minute train ride there every single day. While getting away from everything so it’s not right here on top of you had its benefits, I wasn’t close to any of my friends and I never had anywhere to go. No decent restaurants or anything.

VARIOUS WEBSITES

May 20th, 2008

I’m a Chicago SEO writer. This involves me writing the content for various web sites and doing some copywriting and researched writing as well as blogging. My friends all have different types of jobs. My cousin is a stationary engineer and I have another friend who just signed on to become an apprentice stationary engineer. Another of my friends works a crane operator. Another stocks shelves at a suburban library. Yet another is the manager at a vitamin shop. My brother works as a policeman in the 25th district, which I think is the neighborhood of Avondale. Like anyone else, I also know a few bartenders and waitresses. Yet another of my friends is a stage magician and another works in robotics. She even built a robot once. It looked like a spider and didn’t do much but crawl, but she still built it. I have no idea how I ended friends with such different people. A lot of them have nothing in common but the fact that I’m their friend. Which I suppose makes me their leader. Well, that’s what I like to joke around and claim and really I should be their leader. That and the leader of all mankind.

TELLING THE MEDIA

May 19th, 2008

It’s Johnny Damon’s deal to win or lose, I think. The New York Yankees are a team that I follow all the time. I guess it has to do with all my relatives coming from New York. Coming from New York and not being Giants fans, either. My grandfather was a huge Yankees fan, and even after living here for over 60 years he still followed the team. In fact, he used to like to listen on the radio when he could get a signal. That wasn’t always possible. But radio is the way he grew up listening, so he liked to continue this way. Oddly, when he watched it on television he said that the game moved too slowly. I never really understood that, but that is what he said. Right now, Damon is letting Cleveland cream him. Or rather, he is doing it to himself. I can’t believe how he has been playing, and I guess he can’t, either. He has told the media that he is really disappointed with the Yankee offense. No truer words spoken, really. I guess I shouldn’t say this, but I have some money on the Yankees, and I’m starting to really get concerned. I don’t want to loose my pennies.
