Fighting For the Spotlight

I feel like the luckiest person right now. My girlfriend just surprised me with Arizona Cardinals tickets! This is definitely the highlight of my entire week! In fact, I think this is the highlight for the entire month. I really didn’t think things were going to get any better. She knew I was having a really terrible time with work and everything else. It started with one of my favorite co-workers telling me he was transferring to a different office. He was one of the few co-workers that I actually considered a close friend. I could always count on him to help me with any work-related issue. So far, I haven’t been able to reach any common ground with his replacement. I’m really trying my best to get along with this new person, but it is very difficult. Also, I’m carrying a majority of the workload right now until this new co-worker gets used to things. I really hate that my girlfriend has had to see me this way. All I can say is, my mood must have been pretty sour to earn the Arizona Cardinals tickets! With surprises as good as this one, it’s tempting to make it a habit. Ha!
