STRICT BUDGET

My friend Markus is always telling me not to worry so much about money. I work in Chicago marketing online and am always worried about making enough just to get by. Rents aren’t cheap these days and there’s always another bill or groceries or something else that I have make room for in my budget. Markus works in a retail store. He makes around 1400 dollars or less a month. He has a strict budget, but still gets by. Sure, he used to make a lot more money, especially when he lived out in Las Vegas. He became the manager of a retail store there and even worked as a cowboy at a few Wild West shows. I’m not completely sure what happened to all that money or if he saved any of it, but he says that no one ever thinks they have enough money to get by. More importantly, if a creditor calls you about a bill, you can always hang up. If you get a bill in the mail, it can always be late. You can always talk your way into getting more time even if it’s the old and great excuse of “the check’s in the mail, I’m certain of it.”
